We are building a reimagined social media platform, aiming to catalyze youth-driven social impact!

Navigating the User Experience 

Through our prototype testing, we have been able to establish a user path we envision for our audience. We came up with the formula of Express, Interact, & Take Action, to empower our peers to transform their visions into measurable results. 

EXPRESSING OUR VOICE
 

As the future of society, we want to ensure our peers that their visions, opinions, and questions are invaluable and critical in achieving sustainable change. During this phase, users will be able to express themselves through content in video, audio, or article format to which others can respond, leading to the next phase of stimulating and respectful discussion. 

INTERACTING AND

COMMUNICATING THROUGH DEBATE
Users will have access to niche expertise and knowledge through professionals across generations. They can create their own space for exchange, mutual learning, and workshops. By broadcasting moderated panels and other methods of exchange, we can make sure that conclusions and next steps will be drawn from credible and thoughtful debates. 

 TAKING ACTION AND

CREATING HANDS-ON IMPACT 
We believe that in order to create real change and lasting impact, we have to transform our learnings and discussions into action and tangible outcomes. The goal is to be able to approach influential institutions, individuals, and decision-makers with specific plans of action. Our users will have the platform to implement new concepts, technologies, and/or policies into the economic, social, and political sectors of society.

Our Ingredient for Change

Social media has always been one of the primary platforms for users to express themselves, especially for Gen-Z and Millenials. It’s safe to say that we saw a collective shift in how social media started being used back in March this year as the world slowed down in response to Covid-19. It seemed as though our peers from all over had mobilized to spread critical information. Initially, it was all about social distancing and “flattening the curve”, but eventually our coverage would include the Black Lives Matter protests, the Yemeni humanitarian crisis, and a new chapter of the #MeToo movement amongst other global phenomena. 

However, our current social media platforms weren’t built to be social justice or humanitarian spaces exclusively. It can be hard navigating through relevant content when there isn’t a unique space dedicated to it. How can we make sure that important global issues get adequate exposure, and are not drowned out iiby each other? That’s where our platform, Twenty5, comes in.
